Front-end editors (a.k.a. Visual editors) for WordPress are all the rage these days. Back when we first created Thrive Architect (called “Thrive Content Builder” at the time), we were the first to make a front-end editor. But since then, the trend has caught on and many other plugins of this kind have appeared. Unfortunately for you, there’s one big problem many of these other page builders have: they’re only pretending to be front-end editors…
This happens when a developer chooses the lazy option (because creating a real, front-end visual editor is difficult). Instead of letting you edit on the front-end of a page, they only show you the front-end of the page and then open a typical (back-end) editor in an overlay or in a sidebar.
Basically, they’re trying to sell you a front-end editor, but they don’t want to do the hard work of actually building a front-end editor.

Can I use this on my wordpress.com blog?
Yes. Thrive Architect and the entire Thrive Suite set of themes and plugins can be installed and activated on WordPress.com websites IF you upgrade to a “Business” or “eCommerce” plan. However, Thrive Suite is optimized for self-hosted, wordpress.org websites.
